This intriguing bar is situated in a truly unique setting as it is located in an old atmospheric monastery in a barrel-vaulted, double-height hall. The effect is simply magical, especially at night when the room is subtly lit with low lighting and candles. The 1881 Bar serves classic cocktails, quality world wines, and delectable beer, including their own brew, St. Thomas Beer. The St. Thomas Beer is a 14° dark lager that is brewed according to an ancient recipe from Augustinian monks that dates back to 1352. The beer is delicious and features tastes of caramel and coffee with an aftertaste of bitter hops.
